Shots Fired In Dublin Housing Estate During Attempted Assassination

A man escaped an attempt on his life yesterday evening as several shots were fired at him while he sat in a car within a housing estate in Dublin. 

The incident occurred shortly after 7PM at Rathbeale Crescent in Swords. 

According to Independent.ie, it is currently believed the man in question is 66-year-old former-INLA gangster and criminal, Tommy ‘The Zombie’ Savage. Savage escaped from the car into the house. 

Gardaí have confirmed there were no injuries at the scene. They later found a burnt Audi nearby that is believed to have been involved in the shooting. 

Gardaí are appealing for any information relating to the incident.
