Yesterday we brought you the news that snow and stormy weather was heading our way.
That possibility is getting more and more real as Met Éireann have confirmed that temperatures will drop to 0 tonight as fears of a Storm are being speculated.
They say that:
“Today will start cool with any mist and frost soon clearing, it will be a dry day with good sunny spells.
“Top temperatures will be around 12 to 15C in mainly light variable on northeasterly breezes.
“Tonight will be mostly dry with good clear spells.
“It will be another chilly night as temperatures fall to between zero and 5C with grass frost. Winds will fall light with mist and fog patches forming towards dawn.
“Tomorrow, Saturday will start mostly dry with sunny spells.
“However, it will become cloudier in the west and northwest with patchy rain in the northwest by evening.
“Top temperatures will be 12 to 15C and light southwesterly winds at first will increase moderate westerly and occasionally fresh in the northwest.”
When asked about the possibility of a Storm, Met Éireann said that El Nino could hit Ireland but it would be hard to specify exactly when as you can only see it developing in the Atlantic.
