Residents in the Ringsend and Irishtown areas of Dublin 4 are apparently plagued by a recent invasion of flies that are swarming their homes.
Labour Senator Kevin Humphreys has pledged to get to the root of the problem, writing on Facebook that:
“I have been contacted by residents in the above areas who are plagued by flys in their homes. I have contacted Dublin City Council to try and ascertain the source of this problem e.g. the sewerage waste works, the recycling plant or the incinerator.
“I have highlighted this problem to the Council and requested that an investigation take place immediately to resolve this problem for residents. I will post again when I have further news on this matter.”
