The Next Few Nights Are Going To Be Absolutely Bloody Freezing

We may have been spoiled with balmy temperatures for a while but winter has most definitely arrived.

There's been a serious chill in the air over the last week, with snow flurries even making an appearance in some areas.

Met Éireann has now revealed that there's going to be no respite over the coming days, with temperatures set plunge to -5 on Thursday and Friday night.

Luckily, there's no rain forecast but there will be severe frost, freezing fog and ice in places.

Connaught and Ulster look set to bear the brunt of the weather so we might escape the worst!

"In general, high pressure will dominate Ireland's weather over the weekend and early next week keeping it cold and mainly dry.

"Friday night will be very cold with a widespread sharp or severe frost with ice in places and patches of freezing fog. Lowest temperatures of -5 to 0 degrees, coldest in Connacht and Ulster."
