Fresh, flavoursome, healthy and wholesome - no wonder people in Dublin are beginning to obsess over the incredible cuisine from the Middle East.
'Middle-Eastern' generally covers the fab foods from Turkey, Lebanon, Pakistan, Iranian and Israeli, with chickpeas, mint, olives, dates, lamb and parsley the main staples of any great dish.
From falafel to hummus to eggs shakshuka, these are the six places in town where you'll find the most authentic (translate: delicious) foods from the far side of the globe.

Fresh, authentic, rustic Palestinian & Middle Easternfood with a hint of the Mediterranean is sampled here.
Pomegranate, sumac, almonds, za’atar, mint, lemons, figs, pine nuts all add to the smell of real Palestinian food, and the gorge inside is like a Bedouin tent merged with pieces from “one thousand and one nights”.
This yum Pakistani restaurant might be familiar for any of you festival heads out there as their food truck is a regular sight at EP, but their Ranelagh home is really something else.
Stand out dish is the Sumandari Badsha Jalfrezi - lobster tails simmered with peppers, onions and spiced with garlic and ginger.
Tasty and creative Middle-Eastern inspired grub is the name of the game here, and they're truly experts at it.
Turkish Eggs Menemen of eggs scrambled with tomato & paprika-roast peppers, with feta & olive yogurt, and a herb, chilli & red onion salsa is the must-have brunch dish. YUM
Portions are huuuuuge, taste is fantastic, and it's BYOB with no corkage charges. This spot along the canal is my go-to for bigger groups of friends - plates are made for sharing.
Their mixed platter of deep Fried Tiger Prawn, Falafel, Salad, Pita Bread,Feta Fritters, Hummus and Dolma is almost a meal in itself <3
Our Kate called this the best dining experience she's ever had, so you can expect some truly great things in this tucked away local restaurant.
Belly dancers, vine leaves with fresh lemon and handmade Baklava make this little spot really stand out.
This Lebanese gem does some of the best ethnic food in Dublin, and at a fairly reasonable price too.
Hot and cold mezze such as their Mouhammara, a puree of spicy roasted peppers & walnuts is to diiiiie for. Plus, all meat (except for steaks) is Halal.
We're already planning our next visit to one of these for our falafel fix.
