Cyclists are being asked to hop off their bikes rather than try to divert their way through traffic across the tracks, and signs will be placed around College Green this week asking them to do so.
The Luas Cross City line is set to open for its first journey across Dublin city this Saturday, with the first ride scheduled for 2pm, as stated on Luas.ie.
However, cyclists have become increasingly concerned about the danger posed by the tracks, as it seems bicycle wheels could easily get caught in the grooves of the track.
However, this idea was rejected by the National Transport Authority (NTA) due to concerns that the rubber would have to be replaced too often, according to The Irish Times.
The new signs will aim to ensure the safety of cyclists making their way through areas served by the new cross city line.
The Dublin Cycling campaign posted a tweet yesterday showing the signs in one location being removed by construction workers.

However, Luas Cross City responded shortly after, stating that the signs were removed only temporarily 'to facilitate the close out of current works' at that location on Thomas Moore Island.
