With Wimbledon in full swing, we wanted to let you know about another very exciting grass court tennis event taking place much closer to home next week…

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS is a comic re-staging of the greatest grass court rivalry of the modern era, starring Gift Grub’s Marion Rosenstock as Bjorn Borg vs Apres Match’s Gary Cooke as John McEnroe.

There’ll also be a more serious exhibition game between two of Ireland’s greatest players of recent times, Conor Niland and James Cluskey. On the day will also be two top Irish female players battling it out on grass, with names to be confirmed.

Plus family fun tennis and complimentary prosecco, strawberries and cream.

And who can say no to that?

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS takes place on Sunday, July 23 between 2:30 – 6:00pm at Stratford Lawn Tennis Club in Grosvenor Square, Rathmines – with all proceeds going towards the preservation of the historic grass courts.

Tickets are €20 plus booking fee (U-12s free) and are strictly limited, so if you want to join them please don’t delay. You can purchase tickets now right here.

Tally-ho!
