This Dublin Hospital Is Doing Something Very Sweet For Its Patients This Summer

Sarah

As the weather gets warmer, St. Luke’s Hospital in Rathgar has started up their very sweet idea for patients yet again.

Last year the hospital renovated an historic mini-house on the hospital grounds to turn it into a summer ice-cream outlet.

This was supported by the Friends of St.Luke’s.

The best bit? All the ice creams for patients are FREE.

Patients who are staying in the wards or on the grounds for their radiation treatment are able to pop out for a stroll and get free 99s, as many as they like.

Director of Operations of St. Luke’s said that “this initiative has been very well received by patients and their families.”

Apparently there’s even queues out the door for the treats.

It’s the little things that count.
