Shirleydonlon

A protest against homelessness is being held outside Leinster House today.

The event was organised by Inner City Helping Homeless, an organisation that aims to combat Dublin’s homeless problems, in conjunction with the #mynameis campaign.

The ‘creative, peaceful protest’ will feature some major Irish acts including Glen Hansard, Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Lisa Canny and Frances Black.

As well as music, it will include ‘spoken word’ from Emmet Kirwan, Sarah Clancy and more.

Peter McVerry will also be among those attending the concert.

The protest kicks off at noon today on Kildare Street, and will run until around 5pm.
