The March for Public Education is kicking off today at 1pm outside the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Street.
Students and education supporters from Students’ Unions all over Ireland are marching together to demand public education and in opposition to potential plans on the part of the Irish government to introduce a loan-fees scheme for students.
These types of marches are usually well-attended, quite impressive and very loud. And this one’s no different…

There are quite literally thousands of students protesting for their right to education – with protestors arriving from all around the country.
