Three people were attacked in a series of robberies across Dublin today.
A female commuter was dragged to the ground; a man was struck in the throat with a wooden crutch; and another man was robbed on the Luas during separate attacks in the city centre today, according to Independent.ie.
A source told the publication that the first incident took place at 7am on Abbey Street Lower, in Dublin's North Inner City.
A woman was suddenly dragged to the ground by two males who then stole her handbag before running from the scene.
Shortly after, a male commuter in the city was approached by two men. The victim was struck in the throat with a wooden crutch before his mobile phone was stolen by the two men.
Gardaí at Store Street have also received a report of a man being robbed on the Luas Red Line in the city centre. His phone and wallet were taken during the mugging.
Gardaí suspect that the same raiders are responsible for crimes, and have arrested two men in connection with the attacks, one who is in his late 20s and the other who is in his mid 20s.
