But traffic on the M50 is now down to just two lanes, after a truck collided with multiple cars near the Ballinteer exit on the southbound carriageway.
No injuries have been reported, but on a day where thousands will be travelling south towards Wicklow and Wexford, this is likely to cause some serious delays on the country's busiest road.

The city centre disruptions haven't resulted in quite the chaos many expected, with drivers having heeded warnings from the Gardaí and traffic services.
