Traffic In North Dublin Will Be Mental This Morning- Here’s What You Need To Know

If you’re travelling in or out of the city centre this morning from the northside, you miiiiight want to allow some extra time for your journey. 

Traffic is expected to be absolutely hectic in areas around the Glasnevin location, due to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles visiting Glasnevin Cemetery.

A huge police operation is in effect from 9am until 2pm, with Garda checkpoints and road closures in place – with some key routes closed for the full six hours.

Here’s what roads will be shut down:

• Prospect Avenue
• Botanic Road
• Old Finglas Road 
• Finglas Road N2 (9am to 1pm)

Two Dublin Bus routes, the 140 and 40, will be diverted away from the cemetery, and more info can be found here.

Dublin Bus are advising passengers to allow extra travel time due to the delays.
