Two Dublin Primary School Pupils Hospitalised Due To Ecstasy Tablet Fears

Dublin radio station, 98FM is reporting that Gardaí are investigating a matter where it is unsure whether two west Dublin primary school pupils were hospitalised because of an ecstasy tablet. 

It is being reported that the children were given the tablet at school by a secondary school student.

The incident is alleged to have taken place on the 22nd of January in the playground. 

In a statement issued on Thursday morning, Gardaí said: 

"Gardai from Blanchardstown attended a school in Blanchardstown. An incident had been reported to them by school staff. Two students attended Temple St Hospital as a precaution. We would not disclose ages"

They also firmly stated that, "there is no evidence at this stage to suggest that it was a controlled substance".

Investigations are continuing.
