Two Workers Locked In Room And Threatened In Terrifying Raid At 5-Star Dublin Hotel

Two hotel workers at the five-star Conrad Hotel on Earlsfort Terrace, D2, were locked up in a room and threatened with knives in an overnight armed raid.

The Irish Independent reports that at 1am, three raiders entered the hotel wearing balaclavas and armed with knives.

They threatened two members of staff, locking them into a baggage room and telling them they had a firearm.

The staff were ordered to open the safe but were not able to as it was time-locked, however the raiders managed to flee with a small sum of an estimated €300 from a cash till float.

A garda spokesman told the Irish Independent that officers in Pearse St are “investigating a robbery that occurred at an hotel on Earlsfort Terrace at approximately 1am this morning”.

“No one required hospital treatment.”
