Support continues for the Home Sweet Home group as Glen Hansard appeared on The Late Late Show last night to confirm that they have taken over NAMA-owned Apollo House on Tara Street to shelter the homeless this Christmas.
Hansard, along with other well-known Irish figures Saoirse Ronan, Hozier, Christy Moore, Damien Dempsey, director Jim Sheridan and Mattress Mick, have all been involved in the illegal takeover and occupying of the building, transforming it into a homeless shelter at the coldest time of year.
A wonderful act.
Hansard spoke passionately to Tubs about it after performing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on The Late Late last night.
