WATCH: This Adorable Baby Fawn Had To Be Rescued In Phoenix Park Yesterday

Sarah

What would you do if you were out for a sunny evening stroll in Phoenix Park and next thing the cutest little baby deer EVER comes running over to you?

We think we’d be tempted to bring it straight home with us – but thankfully, that’s not what happened to this dote yesterday evening.

Thomas Crosse was out walking when a baby Bambi pounced over to him and just would not leave his side.

Loooook how cute:

Turns out the little cutie had been abandoned by his mam in the park 🙁

The Park Rangers were called to come to the rescue, and they said the baba had only been born today.

Park Rangers said that the park has been too busy in the past few days, and that the deer are being disturbed.

Fear not, they knew what they were doing to help the baby fawn.

They did their trick of rubbing grass all over the fawn to get the smell of human off him, and were then going to deliver the baby to a herd of mammy deer.

Take this as a reminder NOT to approach the herds of deer in Phoenix Park guys, you’ll only make them smell all human and yuck and the mammy deer will panic, potentially leaving their young behind.

Thank God this one was rescued!

Cheers to Crossy for sending this on in.
