Have you ever crossed over the train tracks to get to the other platform? Ever just been like “ah sure feck it, I’ll be across in ten seconds”?
Well we can guarantee you won’t ever do it again after watching this terrifying footage taken in Kilbarrack station which shows a man escape with his life with a split second to spare.
The train in the clip was the Dublin to Belfast Enterprise speeds through at 140 kilometres per hour. Jesus.
Other clips from the busy DART station in a warning video issued by Iarnroid Eireann today show trespassers crossing the track with bikes, and even a toddler being carried across in a stroller.

Any one of these trespass incidents at Kilbarrack, or any one of the 32 ‘category 1’ near misses around the Dublin railway network could have resulted in a tragic and needless death or catastrophic injuries.
Use some common sense people – it’s better to arrive late than never at all.
