It Appears That Yet ANOTHER Well Known Dublin City Establishment Is Being Turned Into A Starbucks

katedemolder

Starbucks seems to be slowly taking over the whole of Dublin, free commercial space by free commercial space.

Last year, upon a new Starbucks quietly opening on Dublin 2’s Drury Street. Independent Councillor Mannix Flynn then took time out to famously write to Dublin City Council to basically tell them that is just wasn’t on.

Prior to the Starbucks, the location was occupied by Raglan, a clothing store and coffee bar that ceased trading in April 2015.

According to Starbucks’ official website, there are currently 50 Starbucks located around Dublin – with one more in the process of being added to the list.

Behold, Aungier Street

Keenly spotted by Twitter user Conor Smith, Aungier Street’s The Avalon House hostel is now being turned into a Starbucks, and by the looks of it, should expect to open soon.

Should this be the case, this new Aungier Street Starbucks is within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the following branches:

  • Stephen’s Green
  • Chatham Row
  • Bishop’s Square
  • and Harcourt Street

And that’s only within walking distance…

What do you think of the new location? Overkill or underwhelming?
