Every Dog Owner In Dublin Should Be Taking Advantage Of This Great Offer

AmyBell

A dog is known as a man’s best friend and of course, you want to care and love them forever.

However, we all have that fear that our lovable pooch will some day run off or go missing?

Well lucky for us, Dogs Trust is providing free micro-chipping for dogs around Dublin and Kildare this week.

Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity is hosting National Chipping Week 2017 and has teamed up with Fido and Maxi Zoo to get your canines chipped all for free.

Microchipping is now required by law and a study by Fido found that only around 40% of dogs are actually chipped. Yikes.

Dogs Trust said that they “want to change this statistic so that more dogs can be returned safely to their homes if they get lost”.

The free chipping clinics are taking place at the following Maxi Zoo stores this week:

  • Maynooth (August 15th)
  • Tallaght (August 17th)
  • Finglas (August 18th)

You do need to book in advance to guarantee a spot and can do so here, with the clinics open from 10:30am to 3pm daily.

All you have to do is get yourself and your furry friend to the clinic along with photo ID and proof of address (utility bill dated within three months) and then you are good to go.
