PIC: Stranger’s Kind Deed For Woman Holding Baby Is The Reason Why Dublin Is “Gorgeous”

Darragh Berry

They say being a parent is a full-time job and that when you’re a mam or a dad, you don’t even have time to sneeze.

So that means you definitely don’t have time to tie your shoelaces.

This stranger’s kind deed in Dublin was something that was so small but so effective and meaningful to the mother in question.

“A stranger noticed my shoelace had come undone, and since I’m carrying my small baby in a sling, she insisted on tying it for me so I wouldn’t have to try stoop down. Dublin you are gorgeous,” she tweeted.

Of course, it led to stories of other random moments of kindness from strangers who tried to help people who were in the company of their little children.

“Once had a lady put milk in my tea and open my sambo out of packet while my crazy toddler ran around and my baby was screaming. Kindness is in our DNA!”

And it jogged other people’s memories about how beautiful the people of Dublin actually are:

“My grandparents were from a town near Dublin. When I finally made it to the ancestral homeland a few years back, I loved that tourists came up to me in Dublin asking for directions as if I were a native. The locals knew better, of course, but were lovely.”
