PIC: A Pub In Skerries Sticks Lemons In Its Urinals And We Don’t Know What To Make Of It

Darragh Berry

The lads know what I’m talking about.

You’ve had a few scoops, you’re a bit swervy. You look at yourself in the mirror and you can tell by your eyes that you’re a little tipsy.

You go for a slash and as you look down you see the yellow thing in the urinal and ask yourself, what the eff is that.

Well, it’s called a urinal deodorizer block and it’s placed there to disinfect the urinal, reduce the odor or get rid of the bad odor that might come from a lot of wee.

And as strange as it is to look down and see these things while you’re doing your business, it’s even more strange to look down and be peeing on a lemon.

Now we’ve heard of people putting ice in the urinals to act as a “constant flush” after people go to the loo.

But does a lemon do the same thing?

Well, the answer is yes and no. It does mask and get rid of odors but as for helping with the whole dissolving thing, it’s not going to be much of a help.

So while the urinal might smell nice, don’t be surprised if it starts getting clogged after a while.
