Planning A Christmas Night Out? Tommy Tiernan, Gavin James And Jimmy Car Announce Gigs At This Kerry Venue

Zoe

It’s official – the festive season has arrived!

Ok, we know it’s only November but Christmas nights out are already being planned around the country.

If you’re still deciding what to do and where to go, The INEC Killarney – the largest music venue in Ireland outside of Dublin – sits adjacent to the stunning Gleneagle hotel and has an epic line-up this Christmas.

With such a great mix of acts all under one roof, from Tommy Tiernan to Jimmy Carr and Hozier to Gavin James, you’ll find something no matter what you’re into. Plus, due to phenomenal demand, 2FM’s Jenny Greene will be back on stage with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in a performance that’s not to be missed.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the classic festive family panto. This year the INEC will show childhood fave, Sleeping Beauty starring Fair City’s George McMahon, Aoibheann McCaul and singer and RTÉjr presenter Clara Murray. Looking for something a little different? The Snowman will take on a new dimension with narration by Gemma Sugrue and live music by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Perfect for a family day out.

Let’s be honest, there are loads of great acts on but these few caught our eye:

Tommy Tiernan @ INEC Acoustic Club, Sat Dec 1 & Sun Dec 2, 8.30pm

Tommy Tiernan 577X323

Taking time out from his own RTÉ chat show, Tommy Tiernan is back on the road again with his Paddy Crazy Horse tour. If you’ve ever been to one of his shows you’ll know that anything is possible – we’re talking ranting, raving, dancing and the odd ‘bold word’. This show has it all.

The Acoustic Club at the INEC have a capacity of only 600 so you’ll be treated to an extremely intimate gig. Other must-see acts on this venue are Ryan McMullan, the Academic, Hermitage Green, Mick Flannery to name but a few.

The first night of Tommy’s show on Nov 30 has already sold out – seriously people, you gotta be quick and get booking now.

Gavin James @ INEC Killarney, Sat Dec 28, 9pm

Gavin James Inec062

After an incredible career launch three years ago, Gavin James has been non-stop with tours across the globe including his own sell-out headline tour, supporting Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

The son of Dublin’s best-known postman – “I’m not kidding, everyone in the city knows my dad” – Gavin has racked up one billion steams. ONE. BILLION. And with this increasing rapidly, there’s no stopping this lad.

Having released his new album ‘Only Ticket Home’ in October to roaring success, it’s safe to say this gig will be pretty unreal so get booking.

Not only will The INEC Killarney be hosting a brilliant series of events this festive season, they also have delish accommodation and food in the Gleneagle Hotel to complete your night out.

You can stay in luxurious hotel rooms or spacious self-catering apartments with the stunning Killarney National Park on your door step. Think of all the Insta opportunities?!

The Gleneagle Hotel Reception Lounge

Deadly gig then a place to crash? Eh, yes please.

Tickets for these shows are selling – fast. The Coronas and Hozier have already completely sold out and there are limited tickets still left for Walking on Cars – GO! GO! GO!

Avoid the cliche novelty socks or Lynx gift sets this Christmas and treat your mate to something a little bit extra. Keith Barry brings his new show ‘Deception” to the INEC on New Year’s Day. Blurring the line between reality and deception, you’ll equally laugh until your face hurts and be massively deceived with this deadly production.
