An ‘unexploded missile’ is on display on King’s Street until 1pm today to mark five years of struggle in Syria.
The street artwork was created by activist and artist Will St Ledger for GOAL Global, it’s a fake missile (made from salvaged materials) planted in cracked pavement. Beside the device, a child’s bloody shoe rests on the ground.
The piece is a stark reminder of the reality of life in Syria at the moment, where explosive devices are launched into civilian areas every day killing men, women and children at random.

You’ll find the missile on King’s Street by the Gaiety Theatre.
