There have been some gorgeous pictures of Ireland taken from space posted online recently, and now we’ve another to enjoy.
The picture was taken by the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-1 satellite, a synthetic aperture radar which relays continuous imagery back to Earth.
This morning the ESA EarthObservation Twitter account shared this beautiful picture, colouring the country to reflect its natural features: mostly green to represent our vast grasslands, coastal fringes comprised of granite are coloured orange, while boggy lowland areas take on a darker hue.
