While many might percolate their own in the morning and thermos it, sometimes nothing beats a nice, friendly place to sit down and enjoy a hot drink, especially if you've to be active in the city before 8am.

Perched right on the corner of Baggot St and Merrion Row, Lolly & Cooks has an ideal location in the thick of one of the city's main thoroughfares. They serve a fantastic range of healthy breakfast options and their bench area is a great place to sit and watch the morning pedestrian traffic swell.
This café/restaurant is conveniently located in the middle of the Harcourt Street business district yet is situated in a tucked away spot underneath the arches of the old station building (formerly Tripod). This place is open from 7.30am and offers generous space to sit down, read the paper, or get through some emails before hitting the day. Open every day from 7am, Fixx is a nicely decorated spot in the middle of Dawson Street within easy walking distance of some of the city's best sights, such as Trinity College and the National Gallery.
