9 Collabs We’d Love to See Happen in Dublin

Shamim de Brún

In the spirit of teamwork makes dreams work, here’s some collaborations we’d love to see.

Dublin has always been better in chorus. We see it in music, where fiddles, bodhráns, and the human voice weave into the communal. We’re seeing that harmony bleed over into the whole creative world. We are in the era of the collab. Between Guinness dropping collabs with local artists, like Pellador and Fatti Burke, or with food heros like Lír Chocolates and Kish Fish there’s always a new collab. Not just Guinness but smaller brands like Ditsy Bits and Roots have teamed up too. So we thought we’d dream up some collabs we’d love to see.

Check em out.

1. Shaku Maku x No Messin’

I just think the flavour of Shaku Maku would meet the rough puff of No Messin’ and hit it off immediately.

2. Dash Burger x La Cocina Cuevos

Wouldn’t they make the most perfect smashburger taco trio ?

3. Bahay x Scéal

Scéal bread with some of their adobo? Or maybe even a battered sausage sambo? TBH I’d pay for a whole small plates collab pop up dinner here.

4. Loose Cannon x Lolo’s Picklery

Pickles, cheese, and wine ? The holy trinity that summers are waiting for IMO.

5. Big Fan x Harry’s Nut Butter

There would be bao.
There would be saucy numbers.
There would be a queue out the wazoo.

6. Bar 1661 x Bread 41

A pastry topped cocktail anyone? Maybe some poitin negroni jam on toast? The options are metaphorically endless.

7. Chimac x Mad Yolks

Hear me out, some sort of kimchi caesar salad with a chicken scotch egg but in a bun. Maybe with a cured egg yolk on top. With the best of eggs and the best of chicken, the combos are endless.

8. McDaids x Ban Poitín

Poitín and Football Super Special would just slap.

9. Mo Chara & Achara

Chairde go leor! This one is based on vibes alone.
