Here’s How You Can Join The Millions Watching Dubliner Becky Lynch At Wrestlemania Tonight

James Fenton

In the opinion of many, an interest in WWE wrestling is something children should grow out of by the time they reach their teens. Some only heard about Wrestlemania when Brendan Dassey mentioned it on Netflix crime series Making A Murderer. To Becky Lynch though, this year’s event is the culmination of a dream.

The Dubliner will make history tonight when she takes part in the first ever all-female Wrestlemania main event match, competing in a ‘triple threat’ against Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. The WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships will both be on the line as three of the biggest names in the industry battle it out for supremacy, with millions around the world watching it all unfold.

Lynch, who was born in Limerick in 1987 with the real name Rebecca Quin, has been on a meteoric rise in recent years, becoming one of the most recognisable athletes in the States. At home though, people are only starting to get wind of her success.

If you want to see how ‘The Man’ gets on in New Jersey tonight, you could do worse than head to Buskers On The Ball in Temple Bar for their annual Wrestlemania party. Getting underway at 9pm, there should be a raucous atmosphere as Dublin cheers on its homegrown heroine.

If you’d rather stay at home, you can subscribe to the WWE Network, which will be showing the whole thing live. Either way, you’ll be able to say you saw it all take place when everyone is talking about Becky Lynch tomorrow.

Let’s get ready to rumble and all that. Tickets for the Buskers event can be purchased here.
