This is wonderful news.
It has been revealed that Liverpool fan Sean Cox will leave hospital to attend the fundraising match in his honour at the Aviva Stadium this coming Friday.
The news broke this morning that the father-of-three will be present to watch a Liverpool Legends team take on a Republic Of Ireland XI, with all proceeds going to the Sean Cox Rehabilitation Trust.

It will be the first time that Sean will be outside a medical environment since he was attacked by Roma fans outside Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on April 24 last year.

The match will feature a host of big names such as Robbie Keane, Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush, Patrik Berger and Ray Houghton. Mick McCarthy and Kenny Dalglish will manage the Ireland and Liverpool sides respectively.
