Walking down Grafton Street in Dublin, how many times have you heard a Glen Hansard or The Frames song.
If we had a euro for everytime we heard 'Falling Slowly' or 'Revelate' or 'Fake', we'd probably pass it on to whoever was playing.
This Dublin busker, Singer Paddy Finnegan, was playing the iconic tune from the movie 'Once' and was just mid-chorus when he was tipped by none other than THE BLOODY LAD WHO WROTE THE SONG.
Hansard, along with Markéta Irglová penned the song back in 2006 and it scooped up an Academy Award for Best Original Song and it also got Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Song.
This is magical.
That face says it all.
He was singing just outside Stephen's Green shopping centre when Hansard rocked up to fire in a coin or two.
The singer says "I can't believe it" before soldering on to belt out the rest of the chorus.
