WATCH: People Are Fairly Baffled By Roger Federer’s Bizarre Dublin Accent

James Fenton

Eight Wimbledon titles, Six Australian Opens, Five US Opens and a French Open. Roger Federer has achieved a hell of a lot in his tennis career and he might have just picked some luck of the Irish along the way.

Reddit user ca1ibos has shared a clip which for some reason shows the Swiss megastar speaking in quite a distinct Dublin accent. The footage is from a Sky Sports interview and was posted on YouTube in 2015. Comments underneath the Reddit post include someone likening Roger’s drawl to that of Leo Varadkar while another says that ‘this further highlights how bizarre the Dublin accent is’.

Take a listen for yourselves below and let us know what you think.
