6 Fun Things To Do Indoors This Weekend When It’s FREEZING

1. Go for an absolutely savage brunch

Look, this wouldn't be Lovin feckin' Dublin if we didn't tell you to go for brunch every two seconds, so let's just get it out of the way.

This is one of those places you've probably heard about but never set the time aside to actually visit, so why not today?

At Adventure Rooms, you use a series of clues, hints and puzzles to escape a locked room. It's fun, challenging and invites teamwork, so it's a right auld laugh altogether.

3. Stay in and make an extravagant dinner

Maybe you'd just rather stay at home, but you don't just want to vegetate with a takeaway and Netflix (although that's a totally acceptable option). So it's the perfect opportunity to make an elaborate meal for you and some mates.

5. Check out The Maccabees in concert

Haven't been to a good concert in awhile? Indie rock band The Maccabees will be performing in Dublin tonight and they've a rep for putting on an incredible live show.

The London band will be playing the Olympia Theatre tonight, doors open at 7pm and tickets go from €27.90. You can find them here.

6. Go see 'The Revenant'

Already the front runner in this year's Academy Awards, it looks like The Revenant is going to be the one that bags Leo the Oscar he's been chasing.

Set in 1823, a group of hunters and trappers are on an expedition in America's uncharted wilderness when Hugh Glass (DiCaprio) is viciously mauled by a grizzly bear and buried alive by his treacherous confidant (Tom Hardy). After clawing his way out of the earth, Glass sets out on a journey to exact his vengeance...

With a stellar cast (including our very own Domhnall Gleeson) and some of the most stunning visuals ever committed to film, The Revenant will more than likely go down as one of the greatest movies of the decade.

So it's probably worth catching it in the cinema.
