We know that everyone and their mother is telling you to cook your lunches at home (and you should) but sometimes, you just neeeeed to get out of the office.
If Mary from Accounts is driving you mad with her ‘hilarious’ anecdotes, the only option is to escape.
But what about your newfound health kick? Starchy sandwiches and calorific burgers aren’t going to work.
Worry not, there are tons of tasty and very virtuous options around the city centre where you can hide out for an hour.
Here are some of our favourites…
Alchemy
Formerly housed in BT2, this super-healthy spot is now on Leeson Street and is a one-stop-shop for all manner of delicious lunch options. Whether you’re going Paleo, ketogenic or vegan, there’s something here for you.

Cocu
Quality, simplicity and creativity is the ethos at Coco, which you’ll find on Chatham Street, Hatch Street and Baggot Street. Try the Vietnamese Chicken with pickled carrot, coriander, cucumber and beansprouts.

Freshii
These guys do everything from burritos to tasty salads and wraps, including the Market with field greens and spinach, quinoa, avocado, feta cheese, dried cranberries, beet slaw, green apple, carrots and honey dijon dressing.

KC Peaches
This is a great one if you’re heading for lunch with a mixed group as there is the option of a hot buffet and sandwiches, as well as the various salad options. The wide variety of choices means you’ll always find something you like.

Cornucopia
A long-time favourite with vegetarians and vegans living in the city, Cornucopia is home to a range of imaginative and very nutritious dishes. An ideal choice if you’re looking for something substantial as mains include winter warmers like cashew baked aubergine with smoked paprika mash and pea sauce.

Brother Hubbard
With branches in the North and South of the city, Brother Hubbard is well-known for dishing up unbelievable Middle Eastern-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check out this incredible mezze plate.

Industry
Centrally located on Drury Street, Industry is the perfect spot to grab a salad box for €7.50 and you can also do a bit of shopping while you’re there!

Staple Foods
The Grattan Street café is one of our favourite places to get a falafel fix and their delivery option (through Deliveroo) is a lifesaver for those busy days!

Sprout
New locations keep popping up all over the place, with the Sir Rogerson Quay branch being the latest to join the family. This is a winner for breakfast as well, with chia seed pudding and egg pots.

Musashi
Oh how we love sushi! Really healthy and still absolutely delicious. There’s so many different restaurants around the city but this is one of our regular spots.

Foodie
We recommend you eat here based on the names of the sandwiches alone – Get Figgy With It, Hamazing and Juan In A Million are just some of the delights you’ll find on the menu. It also tastes really good. Win win!
