The Five Most Popular Pizza Orders In Dublin Have Been Revealed

James Fenton

Bad day at work? Order a pizza. Broken up with the other half? Get thyself a pizza. Life falling apart in more ways than you could have ever imagined? Will give you a clue, the solution starts with the letter ‘p’.

For generations, pizza has been the ultimate comfort food and the Dublin pizza scene in particular has exploded in recent years. Take Pi Pizza for example, which was recently named the seventh-best pizza in the whole of Europe.

Sticking with the pizza theme, ahead of National Cheese Pizza Day (it exists) on September 5, Deliveroo has revealed the five most ordered pizzas in Dublin and coming out on top is the Margherita at Sano Pizza in Temple Bar, as seen in the mouthwatering picture below.

The dish just pipped The Spicy Devil at Fallon & Byrne while the Pepperoni in Pete’s of Sandymount, the Diablo in Tiger of Rathmines and the Prosciutto E Funghi in Wallace’s Asti of Drumcondra round off the top five.

As well as the most ordered pizzas, Deliveroo has also revealed the weirdest pizza orders they have received and the list includes ketchup pizza, salt and vinegar pizza and ‘The Breathalyser’, which one Donnybrook customer requested to make up the ‘ultimate bad breath sensation’. With toppings such as tuna, anchovies and garlic, we reckon that’s mission accomplished.

National Cheese Pizza Day falls this Thursday and the pizzas mentioned above, both delicious and downright strange, are sure to give you plenty of inspiration.
