The green light has been given for a new cinema on Dawson Street next to The Ivy.
The new theatre will be operated by the UK-based Everyman Group and will contain a bar, a dining area and two cinema screens. One screen will have 72 seats and the other will have 51.
Nice cultural boost on the way for Dawson Street. The planning green light has been given for a new 2-screen cinema in the basement of the recently revamped One Molesworth Street building. #BetterDublin pic.twitter.com/i0Ut2R9nUd

It will be located on Dawson Street, on the lower ground floor next to The Ivy restaurant. The Everyman chain is known for showing arthouse movies as well as event screenings such as theatre broadcasts. It currently operates 28 branches throughout the UK.
The new location will join the Irish Film Institute and The Lighthouse as arthouse cinemas in Dublin and will make for a great option if you’re in the Grafton Street or Stephen’s Green part of town and fancy catching a movie.
