A Metal Ring Stuck Around A Man’s Penis Had To Be Removed By The Dublin Fire Brigade

Apparently the world really has gone 50 Shades of Grey craaazy, as a man recently got a titanium ring stuck around his penis - and ended up SEVEN HOURS LATER in A&E in the Mater Hospital.

As if that wasn't bad enough (can you imagine having to tell the doctors what's wrong with ya?!), the standard medical instruments - "orthopaedic saws, bolt and bone cutters" - used by the doctors just couldn't remove the ring. Yikes.

Which brings us to the involvement of good oul Dublin Fire Brigade. They were called to the scene, and after twenty minutes of hard work they cut through the ring with, wait for it: An electric hand operated axel grinder.

The man's medical case was featured in the March edition of the Irish Medical Journal (IMJ) as a rare case of ‘penis strangulation’, and the report includes a picture of the stuck titanium ring.

Luckily, one month on from the incident the man reported no pain, and had no issues sexually.

We bet that's the last time he'll try to re-enact Mr Christian Grey...
