Airbnb Opens Doors To Refugees And Others Banned From Entering The US

Alana Laverty

Following Donald Trump’s controversial order preventing travellers and refugees from seven Muslim countries gaining entry into the US, Airbnb’s CEO has opened doors to all affected.

Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of the hospitality giant, took to Twitter to reach out to anyone affected by the ban and to offer them accommodation.

“Airbnb is providing free housing to refugees and anyone not allowed in the US. Stayed tuned for more, contact me if urgent need for housing.”

Thankfully someone is thinking clearly, and kindly, following the ban that has put many travellers and refugees in jeopardy.

His tweets have been favourited and retweeted thousands of times and the replies are incredibly positive with offers of spare, free bedrooms across the country.
