Judge Gilligan this afternoon granted an injunction directing the Home Sweet Home group to vacate the Tara Street building by January 11th.

Apollo House is currently under the control of receivers Mazars, who have claimed that the building is unsafe due to the expiration of fire insurance.
Hundreds of supporters had earlier lined the streets outside the High Court in support of the occupants.

The support from the Irish public has been unrelenting since Apollo House was taken over by a group of citizen activists last week and turned into accommodation for Dublin’s homeless population.
The property, which is located on Tara Street, was home to 35 people last night who would otherwise have been sleeping on the streets.
