WATCH: CCTV Footage Shows Thief Smashing Windows In This Dublin Village As Three Local Businesses Are Broken Into

Darragh Berry

Three Dublin Businesses were all broken into in one small village at the start of November and CCTV footage that has been released pinpoints the exact moment that a thief smashes the window of one establishment and looks to steals items from inside.

The photos, which were given to Lovin Dublin by RIBA Stillorgan, show the premises with broken glass and shop doors smashed.

The incident happened in Stepaside and the establishments that were damaged were: the fruit shop ‘Simply Veg’, a local butchers called ‘Fleming’s’ and RIBA Stillorgan’s very own business, Borza’s.

Businesses in Stepaside have been heavily affected by theft and criminal damage this year.

Quattro Woodfire Pizza – which is launching its restaurant on Wednesday night – was robbed in May and both pharmacies in the village have been robbed recently too.

Gardaí arrived to the scene as soon as they could, with reports saying that it took around an hour.

At the moment, Stepaside Garda Station is closed although a report that was released last year by the Garda Commissioner stated that the station would re-open.
