It has been reported that a person has been hit by a train at Sydney Parade.

Irish Rail took to Twitter to tell commuters that there will be delays for Dart services during this Friday rush hour following the incident.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Services are only operating between Howth/Malahide and Lansdowne Road, and between Dun Laoghaire to Greystones until further notice.

Dublin Bus is currently accepting any rail tickets on its route for anyone who has been affected by the rail delays.

It is not yet known what condition the person who was hit is in.
