Connolly Station is closed due to a security alert after a “suspicious item” was found on the train tracks shortly after 12pm today, the Irish Independent reports.
The station has been cleared of all passengers and no one is being allowed in or out of the station, with all trains not stopping at the station.Â
Luas trams will also not be stopping at the station as of now.
Gardai are at the scene and the Army Bomb Disposal Team is reportedly at the scene.

DART and Commuter which operate through Connolly to other stations are running but will not stop at Connolly.
Other trains will terminate at nearest possible stations with road transfers.

There’s a security alert in Dublin, close to Connolly station. Gardai say workmen discovered what’s believed to be an explosive substance at approximately 11.30 this morning. Houses and premises nearby have been evacuated.

A Garda statement says that the station is closed due to an “incident” in which a suspect device was found nearbyÂ
