Dublin is a weird and wonderful place, and there's no knowing what you'll see when you're walking the streets.
Today, it could be a giant guinea pig.
No, seriously. It could.
An eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted the unusual creature over the weekend and while nobody seems to know what the story is, it appears that he's been around for a few days.
"He was beside me when I was crossing the canal bridge at Leeson Street on the way to work during the week," said one user.
"YES! I saw a fella and a woman wheeling him along the grand canal at about 8 in the morning the other day," said another.
Would love to know why there is a man dressed up as a hamster by the leeson st bridge #dublin
