Drivers Can No Longer Turn Onto Eden Quay From O’Connell Street As Of Today

As of this morning, the Luas Cross City works, that are currently in place all over the city, will allow only public transport vehicles to turn right onto Eden Quay from O'Connell Street.

The move has been described as 'a permanent change' by Dublin City Council.

According to Dublin Live, both taxis and cyclists will be unaffected by the changes, but Luas Cross City has urged all private motorists hoping to access Eden Quay, not to do so via O'Connell Street. 

As well as this, there will also be temporary change at the following streets: 

• Dawson Street
• Anne Street South
• Duke Street
• and Duke Lane

The first phase begins as of this morning and will include a site set up from Joshua Lane to Anne Street South.

From March 27, Anne Street South will be blocked at the Dawson Street junction. However, alternative access routes are available:

• Vehicles travelling up Dawson Street to turn left onto Duke Street 
• There will be a set of temporary signals at the junction with Duke Lane to control the traffic flow 
• At the end of Duke Lane turn right or left onto Anne Street South

Work is expected to finish on the Luas Cross City project this December.
