Dublin City Council Announces Lengthy List Of Road Closures For Papal Visit

The red carpet is being rolled out, the good china is on the table and preparations are almost done for the visit of Pope Francis to Dublin next weekend.

The thing is, if you’re not that interested in catching a glimpse of the Holy Father (and as Dougal McGuire says “they always repeat these things”) then there really is no point in leaving the house at all.

Coming off the back of the news that Luas services will be majorly disrupted on Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, Dublin City Council has now announced a list of road closures as long as Mr. Tickle’s arm.

As well as that, there will be a suspension of parking facilities in some areas. More information can be found here and if you want to see if your road is affected, take some time to study the list below but like we said, it might be a good idea just to be a hermit for the weekend.
