Dublin Fire Brigade were called out to save a swan in distress at Binn’s Bridge in Drumcondra yesterday evening.
Emergency services were alerted by the Kildare Animal Foundation.
The bird had become trapped in a lock and didn’t have enough space to take off and fly out.

The swan was assessed by the Kildare group and appears to be healthy.
