Gardai Investigate Two Separate Late Night Dublin Shootings

Gardai are investigating two shootings which took place within hours of each other in Dublin overnight. 

The first took place at a house at Shancastle Park in Clondalkin, where a man in his late teens was found with apparent gunshot injuries to the head. 

He was taken to Connolly Hospital where he remains in a serious condition. 

The scene has been sealed off for investigation. 

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01 666 7700.

The second incident, which is “separate and unrelated” according to Gardai, happened at a Barnwell Drive in Ballymun. 

A man, also in his late teens, was wounded in the abdomen after shots were fired into the house he was in. 

He has been taken to The Mater Hospital.
