After the success of First Dates Ireland, we knew this was happen: Gogglebox is making its way to Irish TV, and the casting process is starting soon.
If you're unfamiliar with it, the Channel 4 show features families and friends from around the UK, recording their commentary as they watch the most popular TV shows of the week. That may sound shite, watching people on TV watching people on TV, but it's surprisingly entertaining.
The plan first appeared back in 2014 but was dormant for years, but the Irish Independent has reported that the show is now "full speed ahead".
Casting hasn't begun just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as applications are available. Keep those eyes peeled.
