It’s a sad day when any place in Dublin closes but when a michelin star restaurant shuts up shop, it’s only right that you start asking questions.

But it doesn’t mean the end for this Dublin establishment either by the looks of things.

Heron & Grey which has won multiple awards but is set to close and open under a new name in 2019.

According to The Irish Times, the name change is happening because current co-owner, Andrew Heron, is leaving because he wants to spend more time with the family.

Heron & Grey was given its first Michelin star in 2016 and retained it in 2017 before receiving their third earlier this year.

The restaurant is fully booked for January at the moment and will not be taking any more bookings at this time.
