Gardai are investigating after a man armed with a knife hijacked a car with a toddler in the backseat in the Phoenix Park this weekend.

According to Dublin Live, the hijacker approached the SUV as it drove along Conyngham Road and pulled a male and female from the front seats of the vehicle.

He then proceeded to drive away, but stopped when he noticed that there was a one-year-old child in the back seat.
