Teenager Michael Stokes has sadly passed away in Temple St hospital this weekend following a tragic accident.
The 15-year-old became dearly loved by the nation following his appearance on RTE's Room to Improve alongside Dermot Bannon back in 2016.
Dermot was tasked with transforming the teen's teachers' Malahide home to make it wheelchair-friendly for Michael.
The house, belonging to Ann Higgins and her husband Barry, was Michael's "home away from home".
Earlier this year, Michael appeared on the Late Late Show with Barry where he shared the news that he had been fostered by Ann and Barry and was living with them six days a week.
Tributes have begun to pour in for Michael, with one friend saying:
"Anyone who watched Michael with Dermot on Room to Improve could only be enraptured by Michael’s disarming charm and the love shared between him, Ann and Barry, as Dermot redesigned their house to accommodate Michael. Sad news that Michael has passed on.
"Rest Easy Michael - you were an inspiration to all who watched and all who met you. So sad."
According to The Irish Mirror, it has been confirmed that Michael died in a tragic accident on Saturday May 5.
